Iniesta ruled out of Champions League clash with Arsenal

March 29th: Barcelona's Andres Iniesta suffered a hamstring injury in his team's 1-0 victory over Real Mallorca on Saturday and will miss the first leg of the Champions League quarter final with Arsenal on Wednesday. Iniesta's injury was assessed on Sunday and will rule him out for around ten days making a return in time for the second leg on April 6th doubtful. Iniesta was one of the stand-out players in last season's Champions League with a masterful performance in the final that caused Wayne Rooney to describe him as the best player in the world. Meanwhile, Arsenal will hope that their captain Cesc Fabregas can shrug of the knee injury he suffered in their 1-1 draw with Birrmingham on Saturday. Fabregas required lengthy treatment on the pitch although he was able to carry on and finish the match.
