September 8th: Theo Walcott was taken to hospital last night in Basel for an x-ray to his injured right ankle. Walcott suffered the injury in the 9th minute of England's second qualifier for Euro 2012, a 3-1 victory over Switzerland. He was stretchered off after appearing to dummy the cross that led to England's opening goal, scored by a rejuvinated Wayne Rooney. After the match, England manager Fabio Capello said: "I spoke with Theo and he told me it is not a big problem. "I said 'two weeks', he said less." England physio, Gary Lewin, strapped the ankle on the pitch and his former boss, Arsene Wenger will hope that Walcott makes a swift recovery. Arsenal are already without Robin Van Persie (ankle injury) and Nikolas Bendtner (groin).
