GB pairs narrowly avoid injury in bobsleigh crash

February 22nd: Great Britain's Paula Walker and Kelly Thomas escaped unhurt when their bobsleigh rolled upside down on their first practice run. This follows an unfortunate pattern with GB's John Jackson and Dan Money also suffering a nasty crash in the men's bobsleigh heats on Saturday. Both pairs were lucky to escape serious injury although brakeman Money suffered a nasty cut to his leg when he flew out the back of the sled and Jackson also sustained cuts and brusies, trapped in the upturned sled as it hurtled down the now notorious track. It proved once again the potential hazzards of the Olympic track at Whistler which has already claimed the life of a Georgian luger.
