Manchester united player to miss season with cruciate injury

February 25th: Manchester United's Brazilian midfielder Anderson will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his cruciate ligament in Wenesday's 3-0 defeat of West Ham. United have used the world-renowned American surgeon Dr Richard Steadman in the past but confirmed that Anderson will undergo surgery in Portugal and aim to return to full fitness for the start of the 2010/2011 season.
