Scotland winger Thom Evans returns home after second neck operation

February 26th: Scotland winger Thom Evans returns home to continue his recuperation following two neck operations. Evans suffered a serious neck injury during Scotland's dramatic 31-24 loss to Wales. "The care I received was outstanding and I owe a great debt of gratitude to my main surgeon Sashin Ahuja and neuro surgeon John Martin," Evans said. Mr Ahuja performed two operations, theĀ first to protect the spinal chord due to the vertebra slipping. Following the second operation, Evans will be in a collar for at least six weeks to allow the soft tissues to heal and will continue his rehabillitation in Glasgow.
