Owen Hargreaves returns to action after 18 month injury spell

March 19th: After 18 long months on the treatment and rehab trail, Manchester United and England midfielder Owen Hargreaves finally returned to action last night in a reserve team fixture against Burnley.  He managed 45 minutes of the game and afterwards said "It was great today. I'm happy I can be back with an 11 against 11 and a referee." Hargreaves had surgery with renowned American specialist Dr Richard Steadman for tendinitis in both knees and has missed almost two full seasons. He now hopes to force his way back into United's first team and persuade Fabio Capello to include him in England's world cup squad.
