injury prevention

At e s physical health we introduce the concept of injury prevention at an early stage in treatment. Injury prevention is multifaceted and includes education in good posture, biomechanics, core stability, strength training and flexibility with the emphasis on individual needs whether they are functional or sport specific. We run cardiovascular, pilates and Yoga classes for long term maintenance with supervised help and guidance. We have a maximum of three people in a class to optimise supervision. We design home exercise programmes and can take patients to the swimming pool for water exercise or attend their gym to advise on exercise regimes. We have an extensive database of exercise sheets and provide small equipment such as spikey balls for self massage, theraband for resisted exercise and foam rollers and exercise balls for balance and strengthening work.
