- Adrian Mitri, joined January 2008I started doing Pilates at esph in February 2009 on my wife's recommendation. I have to say at first I was very sceptical as exercise at that time meant lots of physical exertion and sweating and Pilates is not that.
When I started I was very out of shape and my stomach muscles or core at the time didn't exist, this periodically gave me back problems or injuries when running. After 1 month of starting pilates I really noticed a difference and was glad I persevered, my strength really improved as did my posture and tone.
I am now an absolute believer in pilates, having actively now got into cycling it has kept me injury free and flexed those tired overused muscles to optimise my training. A special mention has to go to Adrian and Jo who have enabled me to develop strength that I didn't know existed.
