Across two sites, esph has 10 physiotherapists and 3 massage therapists:

Elizabeth Sharp - clinical director

Elizabeth Sharp started the first of her two physiotherapy clinics in 1977. She opened the Harley Street practice in 1988. She is the clinical director of ESPH.

Elizabeth has a masters degree in manual therapy and over 40 years of clinical experience. She is widely accepted as one of the leading physiotherapists in the UK. Elizabeth oversees the treatment and management of all patients referred to the practice.

She has developed a special interest in the treatment of dancers and performers and is currently associated with a research project to evaluate shoulder motion at King's College, London. Elizabeth is also a fully-accredited pilates practitioner having trained with Polestar Pilates.


Darren Norman - Physiotherapist

Darren graduated from the University of Southampton in 2000 having previously completed a sports science degree in 1993. Darren worked for five years as an exercise trainer before moving into physiotherapy. After graduating, Darren has worked in a variety of clinical settings. This has included working for two seasons with London Irish RFC and also with the South African cricket team on their tour of England in 2003. Darren has a special interest in the rehabilitation of sports injuries including isokinetics and work related postural injuries.He is based at our Harley Street practice

Emma Hanly - Physiotherapist

Emma graduated with Bachelor of Physiotherapy from University of Queensland in Brisbane in 2006. She worked in Brisbane at a sports and spinal physiotherapy clinic for 4 years before coming to the United Kingdom to work and travel. Emma has a special interest in spinal and sports injuries. Emma is a keen sportswoman, enjoying running, hockey and touch rugby for many years. She has been a physiotherapist for athletics, hockey, basketball and rugby teams and will be working at the London Olympics as a physiotherapy volunteer.

Emma is based at our East Dulwich site


Bryan McCullough - Physiotherapist

Bryan qualified with an honours degree in Physiotherapy in 2006 from St. George’s Hospital Medical School. Following this he worked for a short time as a personal trainer gaining experience in exercise prescription and general health and wellness. He also spent 3 years working at Charlton Athletic FC academy covering matches and rehabilitation sessions. Bryan has also spent time at a Sports injuries clinic in Bermuda and during this time he worked at the World Rugby Classic tournament and the Island Soccer League. Bryan is currently studying a Masters degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary’s University of London.

Charles Brahmbhatt – Physiotherapist

Charles graduated from Brighton with a BSc in physiotherapy in 2010 and started work at ESPH in the same year.   Charles also has a diploma in personal training (2005) and has 7 years of personal training and exercise prescription experience.  A former amateur Boxing international, Charles has previously represented England across the world and won several national titles, through this experience Charles has developed a keen interest in treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries.

Charles works in our East Dulwich site.


Cian O'Doherty - Physiotherapist

Cian completed an honours degree in Sport Science in Ireland, before training in Physiotherapy at the University of East Anglia. After graduation Cian gained experience working with professional rugby clubs Gloucester RFC and Wasps RFC before joining ESPH. He has a keen interest in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy and he has delivered our contract with Dulwich College providing physiotherapy to their sports teams, supporting their recent U18 Schools championship winning rugby team.

Cian is based in our East Dulwich site


Massage Therapists

Deepa Bidd – Massage Therapist

Deepa is an advanced clinical massage therapist with certified training in reducing pain from common conditions including wrist and arm pain; Shoulder and neck pain; Hip and pelvis, leg, knee and foot pain and lower back pain. Her advanced massage training is with the Jing Institute of Advanced Massage.  She uses both eastern and western techniques, including trigger point therapy, table shiatsu, acupressure, myofascial release, stretching excercises, deep tissue.  Her approach is to provide a painless but very effective treatment. Deepa is also certified in Pregnancy massage; Deep Tissue massage; Holistic / Swedish massage; Maternity Reflexology and advanced reflexology techniques

Deepa works in our East Dulwich site.


Peter Dobes – Massage Therapist

Peter qualified in 2010 with an Holistic, Deep Tissue and Sport Massage Diploma. Peter is member of Sport Massage Association. Peter mainly uses Sport Massage, focusing on sport injuries helping clients to make a quick recovery from injury.

Peter works in our East Dulwich site.


Anna Pinfold – Massage Therapist

Anna has ten years' experience as a sports massage therapist.  She recently attained a BTEC Level 5 in Sports Injury and Remedial Massage.  Anna's extensive experience has included massage for patients with disabilities, post-operative rehabilitation and relief of acute and chronic muscular pain from injury and RSI as well as for recreational and serious sportsmen & women. Having massaged runners taking part in the 2012 London Marathon, Anna has been inspired to run in the Marathon next year and she is currently training for this event.

Anna works in our East Dulwich & Harley Street sites.
